“Background Brucellosis is an important disease that is causing economic losses in the cattle industry as well as health problems in humans. Bovine brucellosis in Korea was first detected from cattle in 1955 [1]. Since then, the disease had been occurred sporadically until 1983, and the most outbreaks had been reported in dairy cattle.
